    Nicholas Russel Band

    Year: 2012

    Runtime: 33 min

The Nicholas Russell Band plays melodic rock with funk grooves and sticky hooks. Nicholas’ songs arise from personal relationships, the ups and downs of a struggling musician, and the many trials of being human. Nicholas Russell, a singer/guitarist/flute player, was born and raised in Seattle. He makes his living composing commercial music for television, radio, sports stadiums, and web videos. For the Nicholas Russell Band, he assembled a crew of A-list, Seattle veterans including Jon Bayless (Heart), Mark Cardenas (Morris Day & The Time), Geoff Saddler (Widow), and Alexis Ames (Echoes). Their performance on “Band In Seattle” includes 13-year-old Caspian Coberly on lead guitar for two numbers. Young Mr. Coberly is already an inspiring musician, playing well beyond his age.

    Cody Beebe & The Crooks

    Year: 2013

    Runtime: 45 min

Cody Beebe & The Crooks make rock music. Roots rock, if you want to be exact. It’s raw, it’s true, and every track is a slice of Americana. “Roots rock seems like the best term to encompass everything we’re doing,” says frontman and guitarist Cody Beebe. The band doesn’t stop with rock; they incorporate elements of blues, jazz, country, funk and soul to helm their distinctive sound. “We make Southern rock, but we’re from the Northwest,” Beebe jokes. It’s as if Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers updated their vibe and sprinkled it with pieces of Big Sky Country, Puget Sound, and Evergreen forests.

    Cracker Factory

    Year: 2013

    Runtime: 40 min

Many years ago, before the iPod and the topless espresso stand, three young men came together in a sonic experiment that would unlock the sacred mysteries of the planet and lay them bare upon the table. You can call the men of Cracker Factory a lot of things. Call them miscreants, heathen sorcerers, or scoundrels of the merriest variety. Just don't try to compare them to any band in existence. R.L. Heyer (lead guitar and vocals), Shane Smith (bass and backing vocals) and Denali Williams (drums) mingled their musical ministrations for the first time in a dusty bar in Cheney, WA and the rest is sweet history. There is not enough space here to tell all, but suffice it to say that R.L. is one of the most incredible guitar players you will ever hear, and the music of Cracker Factory will bring hours of joy to anyone who listens. .

    Something In The Trees

    Year: 2013

    Runtime: 41 min

Matt (bass), Josh (vocals), and Larry (guitar) met while working at Experience Music Project in 2003. They quickly formed a bond and vowed to play music together someday, but the right project was a long time coming. In 2008, Adam (guitar) made his way to Seattle, and more musical connections were forged. Eric’s (drums) migration from New York in 2011 proved to be the perfect catalyst, and Something In The Trees was born. What began as an opportunity to hang out, enjoy mutual musical obsessions, and build some chops on their respective instruments became a torrent of creative synthesis and songwriting. Their eponymous first release is the result of this confluence.

    Jessica Lynne

    Year: 2016

    Runtime: 40 min

Sometimes authentic country music artists do not grow up in what we would consider hotbeds of country music. Sometimes they grow up in Haslev, Denmark, the native town of current Seattle resident, Jessica Lynne, a sensational and rising country star and one of London Tone Music’s most successful artists. She explains how it all started: “When I was 12, I was home with the flu and our TV provider had a “chance channel” available for a limited time. Well, this time it was CMT and being at home with nothing to do and feeling really horrible, I just kind of left it on that channel and little by little just fell in love with the genre.” Faith Hill’s, Wild One, a song that was #1 at the time, inspired her immediately. “I felt like she was singing about me,” she remembers. “It touched my heart in a way that I had never felt before.”
